The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, which is the first full moon of the New Year, and people hold good expectations on that day. On February 3, in order to carry forward the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and create a positive, festive and harmonious atmosphere, FQII organized volunteers to assist the Yangnan Community in carrying out a series of activities “Our Festival – the Lantern Festival”.

    On the day of the activity, volunteers helped clean up, made sweet dumplings and chatted with the elderly at Linli Canteen of the Yangnan Community, cared about the living conditions of the elderly, and sent holiday blessings to the elderly in the community with practical actions, so that they felt the warmth of home. Subsequently, volunteers also actively assisted the Yangnan Community in granting leaflets on the building of safe communities, garbage sorting and epidemic prevention, etc., patiently publicized relevant knowledge to the masses and guided everyone to celebrate the holiday in a civilized manner. Volunteers’ earnest and responsible attitude and patient and meticulous style were recognized by the community and the masses.
