Recently, FQII received the notification on the result of the proficiency testing plan from Guangzhou Customs Technology Center that the proficiency testing of “IQTC23C01 Determination of Total Lead Content in Toy Paint Coating” participated in by FQII obtained a satisfactory result.
Lead is one of the three major heavy metal pollutants, and is a heavy metal element that seriously endangers human health. 90% of the lead entering the human body is stored in the bones, and 10% is distributed to various tissues and organs throughout the body with the flow of blood circulation, which affects the functions of red blood cells as well as brain, kidney and nervous systems. In particular, after infants and young children absorb lead, more than 30% of lead will remain in the body, which affects the growth and intelligence development of infants and young children. Paint coatings of toys serve as common contact materials for children, and if the lead content is out of limits, it will cause serious damage to physical health, growth and development of children, so it is of great significance to detect the total lead content in paint coatings of toys.
The result of this proficiency testing is satisfactory, which reflects that FQII has excellent technical testing ability in detecting the total lead content in paint coatings of toys, and objectively verifies the continuous effectiveness of our quality control activities, thereby providing accurate, reliable, true and objective testing data for enterprises and the society continuously.
